March 30, 2014 – Fourth Sunday of Lent – 1 SM 16:1B, 6-7, 10-13A • Psalm 23:1-3A, 3B-4,5,6, • EPH 5:8-14 • JN 9:1-41 - One of the most beautiful sights to see here in Gobernador, are the sunsets. The different colors of reds and oranges in the clouds are wonderful to see. The sight is an insight to God’s creation that is stunning. Yet, the insight of grace to accept God as our light is even greater. In today’s Gospel, the blind man could be one of us when we discover the truth, we discover wisdom. “So he went and washed, and came back able to see,” helps me to realize that through the sacraments we receive grace and we continue to love in a trusting and courageous manner as the blind man did with his neighbors, the Pharisees, even with his parents. How strong are we to see and live the truth? May Our Lord be our light. Blessings as we continue our Lenten journey. - Thank you very much for your prayers and telephone calls for Mother Julianne. She did well with the lumpectomy surgical procedure this last week. Mother Benedicta accompanied her and made sure all was well. SK
